We humans are bound to the earth with our bodies, the heaviness of our muscles wrapped around the skeleton. Coupled with our intricate brains while this makes our superiority and dexterity on earth above that of other mammals it keeps us tied to the ground. If only we could shed gravity and fly away, away from the daily business of life and the troubles that flows across the lands. How open would the skies seem, our lives abounding with color, our souls as light as air. We could fling our bodies in space and celebrate the horizon. The watercolors for this series imagine people of every color co-existing in a world bursting with energy and movement, freed from earthly concerns; often with more than a touch of humor.
