I grew up in Pakistan which was effected tremendously economically and culturally by the war in Afghanistan, now 35 years and counting. Since then dreadful conflicts all around the world have only grown and the human misery is heart wrenching. I find it inescapable and I needed to get that dreadful cycle of violence and it’s consequences on paper, as I have done through dance.
